International Shipping & Customs Fees

At Celvian, we proudly ship worldwide. If you’re ordering from outside Finland, it’s important to understand how international shipping and customs work to avoid any surprises.
1. Customs Duties & Taxes
- EU Orders: No additional customs duties or import taxes apply for deliveries within the European Union.
- Non-EU Orders: If you’re ordering from outside the EU, you may be required to pay import duties, VAT, or other local taxes upon delivery.
- These fees are set and collected by your country’s customs authority and are not included in your order total at checkout.
2. How Customs Fees Are Determined
- Import duties are calculated based on the total value of your order and the product type (e.g., clothing, accessories).
- Your local customs office may contact you for payment before the package is released for delivery.
3. Who Is Responsible for Customs Fees?
- The customer is fully responsible for paying any applicable customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees.
- Failure to pay these charges may result in the package being held or returned to Celvian.
4. What Happens If I Refuse to Pay Customs Fees?
- If you choose not to accept the package or refuse to pay customs fees, the shipment will be returned to Celvian.
- Once received, we will issue a refund for the item(s) only — original shipping costs will be deducted.
- No Handling Fees: We do not charge separate processing or restocking fees.
- Return shipping fees (charged to Celvian by the carrier) may also be deducted if applicable, especially for large/heavy packages.
You order items worth 110€, and customs in your country require a 15€ import fee. If you refuse to pay and the package returns to us, we will refund the item value minus the shipping costs (e.g., 10€). Your refund would be 100€.
If we were also charged a return shipping fee (e.g., 5€), that too may be deducted — we’ll notify you with the proof of the charge.
5. Need Proof of Shipping Cost?
We understand that international shipping fees vary by country. If your order is returned and you’d like to see what we paid to ship your package, simply contact us at:

Use the subject line: "Proof Shipping Cost – [Your Order Number]". We’ll gladly send you a copy of the shipping invoice.
6. Final Notes
- International customers are encouraged to check their country’s import policies before placing an order.
- Delivery timelines may vary depending on customs processing.
- Celvian is not responsible for delays caused by customs or carriers.
